Labels can be used on news stories (blogs), attachments, and pages. They are then used in conjunction with either content by label macros, attachment macros, or news macros to pull in all the content that has the specified labels.

Label Types

  • Attachment Labels: should try to include as many as possible of the different label types.
  • Page Labels: will mostly use the document, broad theme and narrow theme labels.
  • News Story / Blog Labels: will mostly use the broad theme, narrow theme, and location labels.


DOCUMENT TYPE

These are labels used to denote the document/page type, such as:

  • memo, memorandum, policy, guidelines, procedures, sops, template, strategy, logo, letterhead, virtual_meeting_background, etc.

BROAD THEME

attachment page news story/ blog

These are labels are used to denote a theme or topic that the document/page/news story covers, such as:

  • communication, travel, human_resources, sdgs, etc.

NARROW THEME

attachment page news story/ blog

These labels are used in conjunction with the broad thematic labels to create sub-groups of documents/pages/news stories, such as:

  • mou, pca, environment_fund, wed, sdg-1, etc.

ACTOR

attachmentΧ pageΧ news story/ blog

These labels denote who signed the document (if relevant) and are used in conjunction with document type and/or timeframe labels to create sub-groups of documents, such as:

  • executive_director, deputy_executive_director, csd_director

TIMEFRAME

attachmentΧ pageΧ news story/ blog

These labels denote the timeframe the document was created and are used in conjunction with the document type labels to create sub-groups of documents, such as:

  • 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021

LOCATION

Χ attachmentΧ page news story/ blog

These labels denote a specific location that the news story relates to, such as:

  • algeria, canada, zambia, etc.

LANGUAGE

attachmentΧ pageΧ news story/ blog

These labels denote the language the document was created and are used in conjunction with the document type labels to create sub-groups of documents, such as:

  • arabic, russian, french, chinese, english, etc.
